When the children have broken up from school it is time for their holidays to begin!
Going out all day we pack a lunch, get whatever we need, in terms of clothing, and head out for the day. The holiday club staff are forest, beach and swimming trained so nothing is off limits! As a forest school we head to our privately owned 4 acre wood and set up camp for the day. We have a shed for storage, a tipi that we use for imagination play and story telling. We build a campfire also which we use for warmth and to cook our lunch on, such as hot dogs, toasties and jacket potatoes. We also gather around the campfire to talk about different things throughout the day session.
As a beach school we use all of the Yorkshire Coast all of the way from Whitby down to Flamborough and each beach is different. We will take wet suits to the beach with us so we are able to do some body boarding and swimming. We also do caving at Flamborough as well as sand art activities, plus much more.
We also visit lots of local attractions and amenities which include:
- Local Parks
- Low North Camp
- Filey animal and bird sanctuary
- John Bull rock Factory
- Miniature Village in Bridlington
Plus lot more 🙂
